Questions about the tile wars: Do you bring your 2 tiles w/ (like you'd bring a map)? Also, Is it 10x7, 14x5, or is that decided by dice roll? Do all of your figs start out in 4 squares or anywhere on your tile? Finally I need 1 or possibly 2 (depending on the mail tomorrow) Uggernaughts. Anyone have any I can borrow?

So there's going to be 2 release tourneys each for acme and yotta? Will there be prize support for both? It's doubtful I can make the official yotta release b/c I'll be flying to Nawlins that day (most likely in the afternoon).

Only problem with having 2 Uggernauts and Jabba is that your tile is so small it'd get cramped. Maybe only half the tiles work with 2 Huges and a Large (since in Tile Wars you have to place all your figures on your 1 tile). Plus, if you're that cramped I'm just gonna flamethrower/grenade/missile/lightning one of your minis and hit a crapload of people ;) I've gotten screwed too many times but trying to have a swarm attack and someone just lobbing one of the multi-target but no attack weapons at me and wiping out half my squad, lol.

And Nym? Freaking scary in Tile War! Same with Boushh (only use for him, lol) Grenades 40 is a killer if you get first activation. I used Missiles one game to kill Nute Gunray my first turn (on the other side he was begging for it, literally).

Good point on the spacing. I'm going to have to make sure this all fits before I go borrowing.

Haha, I won't be there this Sunday, but if anybody else wants to have a decent chance at things on Sunday, DO NOT give Norm an extra Uggernaut. :P Steve Reppart has gone undeafeted twice with that combo at ACME in Tile Wars. Grant it, Steve didn't have to play a couple of the squads that were semi-decent counters to the Uggernauts, but at the same time, even if he had, he'd still have a decent chance to win. Not nearly as guaranteed, but the 2x Uggernaut, Thrawn, Veers, Jabba CL squad is ridiculous in the TW format.

If we do Tile Wars at ACME again anytime soon, I'm seriously considering banning that squad. :P

I saw a really good Tile War squad on Vassal that I'm tempted to play, but now I'm also tempted to play the Charing Uggs just to see how it fares Ugg to Ugg :) In a regular game play add in an Ugg Boss with crapload of Uggs and Charg the Uggs hoping for loads of SD10 going on ^_^ Sadly if you tried that in TW someone would take a pot shot with Accurate Shot and make a huge chain reaction that could kill someone important.

Basically, the great counter to the Charing Uggs is an Accurate Shot squad, popping Veers first thing. Then again, by that time his Uggernaut will have gone 2 rounds and ****** me up some, lol. Hope for doors and iniative!

And I preordered mine for $110 from Miniature Market (with free shipping), which I why I find it weird that Matt would offer it at that price. Becuase for Matt to offer it at $110 he'd be taking off about 40% (which would be $108). I doubt he likes us that much, lol...

Neither....It's actually going to be 200 Pt 'Countdown' style. Normal 200 point squad building rules (1 faction + fringe, except for Affinity, etc.) but the rounds will be quick, probably 30 minutes. We were informed last night that the employee who will be running ACME that night HAS to leave at 10 PM on the 13th, so you guys will have to be done playing by then.

So.....'Countdown' style. In other words, 30 minute rounds. :P

Heh....well, cincinnati.com was saying that they weren't expecting streets to be completely cleared for people to get to church tomorrow morning, so we'll see. But they NEVER plow our street until everything else is plowed, but they actually did ours about 3 hours ago. So who knows.

As for 100 at ACME. I swept the evening running thejumpingflea's Swiss Army Knife squad. It really was brutal. I played Mike (new guy) the first round, which was a freebie for the most part, but then had to play a Boba BH/JWM and a Boba Enforcer/2x JWM, and came out on top of both of those. Was a good night though!

By the time the Plows came through, it was already 2:00 O'clock... and too late...:weep:

Yep, Mike C. Musta been his vacation, he probably bought some luck from a voodoo lady ;)

And newMike finally won a gam (against me) with the whole Navy Troopers and a crap load of commanders (Star Destroyer Officer, Piet, Ozzel, Felucian Stormtrooper Officer, Stormtrooper Officer, and Mas Ameda). Most of my squad was melee and he just stood in the back, taking pot shots at me as I opened a door to him. He was very excited to win, lol...

So, I guess that "NewMike" is my official name now...

Yes, I was excited to finally break the losing streak there...but I think it is time to put the swarm squads away and get a little more serious about a REAL squad...

I won't be able to join the Acme folk Thursday (memorial service) but am gathering all of the green guys I can muster for the St Pattys fun game at Yotta...

...and I still feel kinda bad about trading the Dewback and Speeder Bike to that kid for Imperal Commander Vader, but I will gladly return it to him should he come to his senses...lol...

Does a Storm Commando count as a "trooper?" I know it is not in the name, but using them with Piett would give +4 atk and +10 dam whether the target has activated or not...

I understand that both pieces were VR, but I can't (as it stands now) actually see fielding them (and they were both doubles...).

I have been coveting the Imp Commander as an integral part of my shooter squads for some time now, so I am fine with that trade...and it really beat hitting every Target in town just to see if they had a left over Hoth set...lol...

Storm Commando...yeah, was joking about the trooper part (I spent an hour building a squad concept with them at the +6 def...) I am still looking for that perfect place for them...especially as I am Thrawn-less...

I will have to think harder on that one...

Hey I am allowed to talk big since I have been on a major losing streak lately. I have lost so many games and place like dead last thursday. Even though my match with Kyle was so freaking awsome and came down to the wire and he won with 3 more points than me

The Release Events at ACME will be either $30 or $35 per event. I am saying up to $35 with the extra $5 going towards prize support. I will talk to Joe about it, so I can have an answer for everyone.

Time is running out on the shirts too - $10 with any profit going to prizes. The 29th event is red with Sith tattooing and the Sith creed on the back. The April 12th event will have a tan shirt with Cade's pirate symbol on the front, ACME Games on the back.

For the TT tomorrow, is there going to be the normal 2 activations or just 1 activation at a time like we did up at Yotta last month? I'm taking tomorrow off and might show up (depending on if I'm burnt out from watching basketball).

Just a quick reminder, we're doing 'Terrific Trio' tonight, or at least, that's the plan. So, squad of 150 points or less, only 3 characters. Also, you will only activate 1 character per phase, instead of the normal 2 per phase.

Also....in case anyone is interested, I will have with me a full list of all the stats for the Legacy of the Force set. Nobody's interested that right?? :P
