View Full Version : [Guy] Ialdabode Mind Thrust
If Ialdabode is within 6 squares from Drizzt and use Mind Thrust, does it deal 10 or 15 damage?
In other words.. Drizzt's commander effect says that unique followers gain damage +5 : only physical damage (melee/ranged) or does it involve special abilities and spells/psionics?
Thanks.

Guy, if you haven't already tried, could you see about getting this added to the FAQ? I use Mialee all the time, and with Drizzt, according to your ruling, her magic missile should do 10 damage. I can't get anybody I play with to go for this, as they don't consider your ruling any more official than a response from customer service, which happens to disagree with you.
So, if Drow Cleric of Llolth's flanking effect gives +5 to damage, it means, what follower, who flanking an enemy can cast touch attack or ability instead normal attack and this bonus damage will be applied? Am I understand it right?

No, because the Drow Cleric's commander bonus specifically says "melee damage +5". Drizzt's bonus says "damage +5", which some folks think only applies to damage from attacks, and others (including Guy) say applies to all sources of damage.

It's already on my list of things to add.

Well, it's certainly possible that I'm wrong. That is, my ruling is supported by the rules, but it may not actually be the intent. We'll find out when R&D looks through the FAQ items I'm adding.
